I lunch on Lebanon Express more than I should admit.
Toronto's Middle Eastern fast food scene is second only to the actual Middle East. It's stiff competition! It's all easy on the wallet and happy-making on the tummy. What? Right. That. I stand by that weird sentence.
Lebanon Express is my go to quick lunch. I get the chicken shawarma wrap with a side of tabule salad. It's cheap, cheerful and they have the perfect garlic sauce. -

Walking through Parkdale, we worked up an appetite. We figured we'd check out the Roncy stretch and see what might catch our attention. We saw a guy eating a massive plate that looked amazing so we decided to give this place a try.
We ordered two plates (one shawarma and one kofta), so we were able to taste different meats and sides. I enjoyed all of them! I did find the shawarma meat a tad dry but with the sauces it was fine. The kofta was flavourful and straight off the bbq. Beet salad, yum. Roasted cauliflower, potatoes, and eggplant, yum. Tomato and cucumber salad with parsley was okay. FYI: I never order salad but today I did because their kale salad really caught my eye. It looked so fresh and colourful! There was an abundance of ingredients and it was so well dressed. I loved it! Apples, cranberries, etc.
Solid portions and overall delicious! I'd definitely come back. :) -

This place makes me so happy! Delicious, fresh food and really friendly people. You'll get a healthy and filling meal for less than half the price of most of the surrounding restaurants on Roncesvalles these days. Fairly sure it's part of the Ghazale family of restaurants - one on Bloor and another on Yonge. It's a bit of a gem. I think this place is pretty special.

Best restaurant in this neighbourhood.
It can be all summed up in two words. GARLIC SAUCE!
Everything is so clean, fresh and tasty, but you will be thinking about that garlic sauce for weeks.
